AP Exam-Track Students: Deadlines and Time Management

In addition to fulfilling the rigorous reading and writing requirements that are a part of this course, the ability to manage time effectively—to handle short and longer term assignments simultaneously, to develop a personal schedule for completing the course, and to submit papers according to that schedule is essential for success in this course.

Although this course does not have timed exams or weekly deadlines, it will be important to manage your time carefully to complete this class in a single semester. To help keep you on track, we have set suggested time limits for finishing the first half and second half of the course. If you intend to take the AP exam in May, you should stick to this schedule closely.

Midterm deadline: Lessons 1 through 4 should be completed by October 19

Final deadline: Lessons 5 through 8 should be completed by December 21

This means you will have approximately nine weeks to complete lessons 1 through 4, and nine weeks to complete lessons 5 through 8.
